Hey Paul, not a problem. I’ve got both of those 77 Monte Carlo kits set up. You can see them by going to this link Autos 1960-1979. If you need anything else let me know.
Thanks for the info on the 1976/1977 Monte Carlo—sorry about taking so long to get back to you.–Go ahead and post it; Thank you for your research-should be able to buy it soon
Hi Terry, Currently the only Impala kits in production are a 64 and 66. I can get both of these if you are interested. Monogram made a 65 Impala several years ago. You can find the kit on shopping.com. Hope this helps! Let me know if you’d like more info on the 64 and 66 kits.
Hi Paul
The best I can do is a 1977. Revell currently has two 77 Monte Carlos in production. If you decide you want one let me know and I will get it set up on the site for you. They run about $16.99 each.
Do you have a printed catalog?
Looks like that you have an excellent website….
By the way, is there a model kit for a 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo
scale 1:25 or larger?
Thanx a bunch
P>S>–Thank you for the greeting on your homepage-I am a
veteran of the USAF–appreiciate it!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Lorraine
I’m sorry to hear about your brother. Unfortunately there is nothing that I know of or have found that is directed towards the handicapped modeler. A few suggestions that I can make would be to start back into the hobby with a wooden kit such as one found on sourcingmap.com. Another suggestion would be snap kits instead of glue up kits. One snap kit I have is the 1970 Chevelle. If you are interested in more I can get you a list together. A tool that I would recommend is the Modeler’s Helping Hands. You can find this on modelmakerz.net. I will continue to look for more ways your brother can get back to his hobby. Best regards, Ben
My brother used to build model cars, trucks, and sailing vessels. Unfortunately, he had a stroke and lost the use of his left side. My question is – Are there models kits that cater to the physically handicapped? If so, where can I find them?
Thank you for your feedback on the ambulances. I got all the info you gave me,yes very helpful, I will let you know how I fair out with this project. Thanks So Much
Hi Ed, You can find two books on Airbrushing and a book on Model Railroad scenes on my Books page under Modeling Supplies. Currently I do not have any other railroading books available, but you may find what you need at http://www.jrjunction.com/kalmbach.htm. I also carry a few selected paint sets under Modeling SuppliesPaint. If you are looking for a specific color or brand, let me know and I might be able to get it for you.
Thanks, Ben
Do you carry any CD/Rom or books on tips concerning airbrushing and model train outlays ?
I need to find paints, books on how to make my trains , mountains, HO scale people more realistic.
I have a small collection of pewter models also that I need to paint but have been hesitant to attempt as I want them to look nice. Thank You
Ed
Thank you for letting me know Barry. Apparently there was a glitch in my system and your zip code was not the only one having problems. All should be fixed and to say thank you I will be emailing you a coupon code to use at checkout. Your message is very much appreciated!
would like to purchase a couple of models. apparently you do not ship to westerville ohio 43081. Just wanted to know why?
how can i order something ?
thank you

No problem Bart. A 67 Firebird convertible would be a nice kit. That is the car my dad owns and I have searched for a model for a while now. MPC had made a 67 hardtop many years ago, but I have not been able to find any currently available. AMT made a 67 Camaro several years ago as an Indy Pace car. This kit is now for sale on ebay for $299.99. A bit too rich for me. I’ll get back to you on the 68 Firebird soon.
This is a great site! I have been looking for a specific model kit and did not know if it was ever produced. Ben turned me on to a site that had just what I was looking for. The kit I was looking for was last produced in 1974. So if you are looking for a kit and can’t find it anywhere, Ben can help you out. These are some great people!
Big Rigs is one area I am looking to improve. Currently I have several kits that I need to list and several more that I will list once they are back in stock. Thank you very much for your input.
Hi Joe,
Great story. I’m not sure if I will be able to find the exact kit you speak of, but I’ll give it a shot. Jimnohio.com has a Revell convertible kit. Collectable-articles.com has a large Monogram hard top kit. Collectable-Articles.com has another Monogram hard top kit. Fast-autos.net has a Monogram kit. This one might be the one you are looking for. It has lots of movable parts. Hood tips, wheels steer, shocks work front and back, doors open, windows crank up and down, wires, lines, etc.
I hope I was able to help.
Best of luck,
Ben
About 40 years ago, my father and I built a large scale Jaguar XKE hardtop sports coup model. I loved it, but being around 7 years old, I couldn’t resist showing it off to my friends and playing with it… until one day I dropped it . Dad was so angry, he threw it out. I would love to find the same kit to build again and send him some pics. I remember that it was about 18 inches long, had winows that rolled up & down, steering wheel that worked and even a working suspension ! It even had plastic tubing that emulated the spark plug wires that you could glue from the distributor to the individual spark plugs. I’ve searched the net with no joy, so I’m hoping maybe you might be a little more successful in tracking one down… I don’t know if they make it any more or which company manufactured it but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much for taking the time to help me in my search, I knew this was going to be hard to find.. you were still able to get me a link that has the exact car Ive been looking for. Since it requires so many modifications I will keep in contact with you and get the two door……..for now.
Thanks again
Information you provided on locating Jaguar E type model kit was greatly appreciated, especially the larger scale I was looking for. This particular car has sometimes been called the most beautiful roadcar ever designed and I have to agree. Again thanks for your assistance……….John A.
Youre so cool! I dont suppose Ive learn something like this before. So good to search out any person with some unique thoughts on this subject. realy thank you for starting this up. this web site is something that’s needed on the web, somebody with a bit of originality. helpful job for bringing one thing new to the web!
Stan, thank you for the comment. Model kits of the 1920′s are hard to come by. There are many more kits of the 1930′s and newer. I did a quick search and could not find any 1920′s Packards. I’m sorry that is all I have for you. If there is another kit I could try to help you find please let me know. Ben
Hi Shane
Thank you for the comment. I would love to be able to carry every make and model car for everyone, but the manufacturer’s only make certain kits. I do carry two 1972 Cutlass kits by Revell and have seen a 1987 Cutlass kit, but unfortunately I have not seen any 1978 Cutlass kit. If any of the manufacturers make a 1978 Cutlass kit in the future I will let you know. Sincerely, Ben
Hi Manny
The kit that I have seen of the 1960 Parklane is by AMT and has long been out of production. There are a few sites, along with ebay that still carry these old kits. One such site is Gasoline Alley Antiques – http://www.gasolinealleyantiques.com/kits/kitcaramt.htm. I hope this helps you. Best regards, Ben
I would like to see this model kit of a 1960 mercury monterey or parklane h.t. or conv. that you said you have. I am interested in a metal kit or a plastic kitof the 1960 mercury model. looking forward to hearing from you soon. thank you manny silva
Thanks for the comment Jana. I do try to carry a good selection for everyone and I am always interested to hear what people are looking for. When someone asks about a specific kit I do my best to find it for them, even if I am not the one selling it. I have checked around for a plastic model of the Saturn Sky and I only found an unassembled die cast kit. You can find it at http://www.danscraftsandthings.com/istar.asp?a=6&id=290500. Revision: This kit is no longer available (1-31-2011)
Great palce to look for what you want in the hobby world. And in my experience. I found service second to none. They did all the searching all I had to do was decide which kit to purchase. And it was all easy, fun and absolutely no hassels. It is a place I will be back to do business again. Thanks Ben. Great venue. Joe W.
