Simple questions for everyone…What are you looking for?

Me?  I enjoy building 1/48 sclae aircraft.  All kinds, but mainly military.  I was into military jets when I first started in the hobby.  I’ve built two F-14′s, two F-15′s, three F-18′s, two F-16′s and two A-10′s.  Seems to be a theme.  Not sure why I did so many doubles.  Out of these I’d have to say I like the last A-10 I built.  It turned out to be one of the best looking aircraft I’ve built.  The biggest plane I’ve ever made was a 1/72 scale B-52.  That was a big model and fun to build.  Lately I’ve been more into WWII aircraft.  I have a P-40, P-38, B-25 and a B-17.  The B-17 has been my favorite out of all the builds.  You can check out some of the pictures here.  I’ll have to add a few more for you all to see.

There are many books available to purchase which give great insight to the art of model building.  However, I feel the best tips are from the normal everyday model builder.  Those who are in the trenches building their favorite plane or car.  The best instruction you can get comes from someone who has been there.  Experience is gained from sitting down and just digging into the kit.  You can read all the books, but until you actually begin to build a model you never really understand or appreiciate the techniques needed to build that one of a kind model that everyone will enjoy.  That is where you come in.  If you have any special tips or techniques you have found in your model building experience please post them to help everyone out.
